I live in rural California, where princes, castles, and royal balls of the traditional sort are hard to come by. But I love fairy tales, so I decided to re-think Cinderella and fit her into my world. If Cinderella lived in the Western US, I think she would be after the title of Rodeo Princess, rather than marrying a prince. And I’m sure that her Fairy Godmother would have been just as helpful as the original…from the cowgirl hat down to the glittery Cowgirl Boots!
