I really enjoy painting in ink, and so I usually try to participate in the Inktober challenge every October. The following series was made by trying to imagine how the prompts for Inktober could be interpreted in the world of Harry Potter. All pieces were created using India ink, brush and Micron pens, and white colored pencil.

Black and white children's book illustration of a black wizard, dressed as a cowboy with a trench coat and hat, brandishing his wand like a pistol and producing an armadillo patronus.

A Texas cowboy wizard and his trusty Patronus. Created for the prompt—ARMADILLO.

A portrait of Hagrid, the Hogwart’s game keeper and Care of Magical Creatures teacher. He is on his way to try to impress his love interest, Madam Maxime. Created for the prompt—BOUQUET.

Black and white ink spot illustration by Kirsten McGonigal showing an old, empty, 2 story house with shutters falling off, broken windows, and a hold in the roof. There is a crooked gate between 2 hedges and a scruffy tree with bare branches on either side of the house.

The cottage in Godric’s Hollow where Lord Voldemort attacked the Potter family, killing Harry’s parents and leaving him with his famous lightning bold scar. Created for the prompt—EMPTY.
